Alison Davey has been dealing in Ceramics for in excess of 16 years after graduating from Edinburgh University in 1995 with a MA. Alison was the founder of AD antiques, a Company regarded as one of the leading Antiques Ceramics Dealerships in the UK and she has enjoyed many years handling some of the finest Antique Ceramics from the British Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco Movements. In 2008, the Company extended its interest beyond the antique and began to embrace some of the exciting work of contemporary potters that form part of a superb school of contemporary design in the UK. It is an honour to be able to represent the work of talented designers and support our deep heritage of British Ceramic Art. "Signed and Designed" now operates alongside AD antiques and showcases the work of exceptional Contemporary Ceramic Artists.

The work on display on the site can be bought online and can be viewed in person at the numerous fairs that Alison exhibits at each year. All the prices shown include insured postage.

In 2009 Alison was elected to the BADA trade associations for her expertise in antique and contemporary ceramics. Members are elected to the association for their high business standards and expertise. They adhere to a vigorously enforced code as laid down in the association's Bye-laws. After a thorough election procedure dealers continue to have their membership renewed and confirmed annually. Alison is part of the team of assessors who consider applications from prospective members. Over the years, Alison has vetted at some of the country's' leading Antique Fairs, offered specialist advice to major Auction Houses and Museums and has consulted on numerous media projects including television programmes such as the Antiques Roadshow and publications such as American Vogue. She is a regular Features writer for Antique Collecting Magazine.
